BQNF Runtime wraps a photonic system in a continuous act of self-observation.

Telemetry becomes its senses. The operator H = A(I + J) + D(t) becomes its Self-Model. Chip Fingerprints become its Light Memory. Quiet Probes and bounded corrections are its Return to Resonance.

Four faculties, one system.

Drift Sense the senses: Commands P(t), telemetry y(t), and targets y*(t): every detector current and monitor tap is part of how the system feels itself fall out of tune, before performance decays.
The Self-Model the understanding: The residual r(t) is the system noticing a difference between what it expected of itself and what it did. A, J, and drift D(t) explain why: intended local response, learned interactions, and drift. This is Glass-Box Physics: interpretable and auditable, never a black box.
Light Memory the experience: Each chip's learned behavior distills into a persistent Chip Fingerprint. Together, Fingerprints become Light Memory, seeding the next chip, wafer, and fleet.
Quiet Probes the correction: Small, bounded, controller-approved questions and corrections, verified after every act and rolled back if anything degrades.

BQNF Runtime connects to existing controllers and test benches and never bypasses hardware safety. It begins with zero authority and advances only by proving itself.

Shadow: It observes and predicts, with no authority to act.
Advisory: It recommends corrections for an operator to approve.
Controller-approved: It issues corrections the controller has pre-approved.
Closed loop: It holds the system within bounds, verified after every act.

Living Twin

Light Memory keeps a Living Twin.

A digital twin of every fleet that is never stale. Each chip's Fingerprint seeds the next chip, wafer, and fleet, so experience survives the hardware that earned it.

We use consciousness as our metaphor for self-modeling, self-correcting systems, not a claim of sentience. The engineering beneath it is measured, bounded, and auditable.
